Vail Resorts: Fiscal Q4 Earnings Snapshot

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) _ Vail Resorts Inc. (MTN) on Wednesday reported a loss of $108.7 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The Broomfield, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of $2.70 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $2.91 per share.

The ski resort operator posted revenue of $267.1 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $265.1 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $347.9 million, or $8.55 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.53 billion.
